FX Studio is a nationally acclaimed event film studio located in Honolulu, Hawaii. Here is a sample of a Same Day Edit (SDE) - Priscilla + Christopher’s SDE (Shot, edited & shown in HD at the reception). In our thought process for a SDE, we spend a lot of time planning our approach prior to the event date. We would obtain the lyrics sheet to the music our client chose and listen to the song about 40 times. We envision shots based on the lyrics to enhance the couples story. We deconstruct what we shoot into mini-stories and approach it as if it is it’s own mini-film from start to end. We use audio bites or related video shots, things that naturally tie together as transitions from one mini-story to another. This tells the story and give conent and brings the story to life. We string these mini stories into a about a four to six minute SDE. We then edit the video clips to the music to enhance the story by matching the temple and feel, but not dictating it.
